On Jan. 23, District Judge John Bosch granted a motion for summary judgement in favor of the City of Wakefield in a civil case over a proposed rock quarry, effectively putting to rest an issue that has been in contention for almost two years.

According to court documents filed on Feb. 3, Judge Bosch noted in a written order that “the case is ripe for summary judgement,” as both parties had filed for a motion to that effect and many exhibits and answers in support of that request.
