Greetings to all as we look forward to our holiday seasons, however we worship. Thanksgiving time is always a special time for family and friends to gather and look back on the year falling behind us, and look toward the Advent Season as we once again anticipate the birth of Christ.

In our Gospel lesson last week from Mark (13:1-8), Jesus warns his disciples who were in awe of the temple in Jerusalem, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down.” Jesus’ conversation with the disciples points us to this reality of a crumbling world which can be an opportunity for rebuilding and hope, and continued faith in Christ and one another—not the buildings that surround us.
