Carolyn Jean (Basile) Dodds passed away on   December 6, 2020  in Coloma, Wisconsin.

Carolyn was born on May 6, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to Arthur and Betty (Swank) Basile.

Carolyn graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1966. She then decided to attend Ottawa University in Ottawa,Kan. She graduated with a degree in elementary education in 1970. Carolyn finished her Master’s Degree in July of 1975 in Special Education from Wichita State  University.

She married Phillip Dodds on August 3, 1975 in Ottawa, Ks. 

Added to this union were 2 daughters; Kimberly and Megan. 

While she was able she participated in and helped lead the Parkinson’s group in Clay Center, Kan. 

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Phillip; three In-laws; sisters, Susan (Bill) Hausler of Madison, Wis., Marianne (Jud) Hunt of Plano, Texas, and Barbara Basile (Felix) of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Kimberly Wright of Ozawkie, Kan. and Megan (Cory) Gabor of Coloma, Wis.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two nephews and six nieces and their families as well as her large extended family.

 She is preceded by her parents, Arthur and Betty Basile; two in- laws; and her son-in-law.

The family asks that you make donations to your local library or elementary school in her honor. 

A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2021 in Clay Center, Kan. at the First Baptist Church; date and time to be determined.
