OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Veryl Leone Tiemeyer, 86, passed away July 9, 2020, in Overland Park.

She was born July 6, 1934 in Palmer, Kan., to George and Grace Damman. She was a graduate of Clifton High School. She married Freddie Tiemeyer in 1953. Shew was a member of Clifton-Clyde Unified School District board member. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Kansas State University. She served as the executive director of March of Dimes, Salina Chapter and was also the regional director of North Central Area Agency on Aging.

Survivors: sons, Eric and wife Diana of San Antonio, Texas., Noel and wife Joyce of Dodge City, Kan.; daughters, Rhonda Grundemann and husband William of Scottsdale, Ariz., Melinda Tiemeyer of Prairie Village, Kan.; brother, Thale Damman; and sister Melva (Lloyd) Anderson and Nella Melone; eight grandchildren; three step-grand-daughters and one step-grandson. A burial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Clifton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
