CLAY CENTER, Kan. -- Mildred L. Rouse, 83, passed away July 7, 2020, in Clay Center. She was born February 14 1937 in Clay Center, Kan., to Edmond Furrer and Marjorie Carter. She was raised in Clay Center and was a graduate of the CCCHS class of 1955. She married John Coberly in 1956 and they later divorced. She then married Loy Norman Rouse in 1969. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1975. She is preceded in death by her parents; son Dayton Rouse; daughter, Elizabeth Coberly; sister Hazel Buckley. Survivors: sons, Rollin and wife Sherry Coberly of Clay Center, Kan., Roger and wife Valerie Coberly of Salina, Kan., Jonathan Coberly of Clay Center, Kan,; daughter Desiree Stevens of Oakhill, Kan.; sister, Helen Goodin of Pheonix, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Clay County, Kan. by Pastor Paul Tessaro.
