Barbara Rollman, age 80, of Clay Center, KS went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20th, 2021 following a long battle with cancer.
Barbara was a graduate of Wakefield High School and attended Cloud Co. classes over the years with a love of math and bookkeeping. She retired from the Clay Co. Hospital where she finished her work career as a purchasing agent for the hospital, a job she loved dearly. She was proud of her years as an Eastern Star member and as member of the Elks Lodge. Barbara was active in the foster care system, serving numerous children in her home and heart over the years. She was a long standing member of the Presbyterian Church and often talked about her church community and their faithful prayer during her cancer journey.
She was married to Duane Rollman on July 29th, 1961 and proceeds him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Becky Reinholz and husband Eric of Okla., Paula Burks and husband Chris of Iowa and Sereniti Rollman of Mo.; sisters, Linda Ruff of Kan., Carol Jenson of Mo. and Judy Peter of Kan. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
It was her request that there be a family celebration of life in the spring in lieu of a service, TBD.
During her cancer treatment, Barbara lived with her daughter in Bixby, Okla. She often volunteered to sort craft supplies for kids at the Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis which is also a St. Jude’s affiliate site. It was her ultimate wish to see cancer for children cured and would ask any memorial contributions in her name be made to St. Jude’s cancer research.
