Ronald “Ron” Grumme, 73, of Tallahassee passed away on July 9, 2015 after a brief illness.
Laurence D. Cox was born on June 12, 1928 and passed away on July 11, 2015 at his home. He was born to Earl and LaVerta Cox in Nehawka, NE. He was a graduate of Nebraska University in Civil Engineering and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
RILEY-- Frederick N. Fritz, 79, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.
LEONARDVILLE-- Helena Rosine Caroline Staley, 96, formerly of Manhattan, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Leonardville Nursing Home.
JUNCTION CITY-- Naomi “Nonnie” Jean Leonard, 81, died Friday, July 10, 2015 at Brookdale Senior Living, Junction City.
NEWARK, Calif.-- Mary A. Petee, born May 23, 1920, died July 10, 2015. She served in the United States Navy for over 22 years; during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. She obtained the rating of Storekeeper First Class Petty Officer. She then worked at Stanford Research Institute International in Palo Alto as expediter until her retirement when she become very active as a volunteer worker with many organizations.

MANHATTAN-- Twila Mae Ericson, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Via Christi Hospital.
MESA, Ariz.-- LaDonna A. Oberhelman, 83, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Banner Baywood Hospital, Mesa, Ariz.
CLAY CENTER-- O. M. ALLEN, 88, died July 6, 2015 at the Presbyterian Manor at Clay Center, Kan. He was born Nov. 7, 1926 in Russett, Okla., the son of Oscar and Edna (Clifton) Allen. His growing up years were spent in Russett. After graduating from high school, O.M. joined the US Navy in 1945 and served in Japan for 15 months at the end of WWII. After the war, he returned to Blackwell, Okla. It was there that he met and started dating his future wife, Joyce Burton. They were married in July 1949 and were married 66 years.
Raymond L. Kujawa, 49, passed away on Friday July 3, 2015 at the Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan, Kan. after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
CLAY CENTER-- Lela Florence Baker, 93, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center.
KNOB, Mo.-- Gary Lovendahl, 78, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Stone County, Mo.
Douglas Wayne Snodgrass, 52, of Temecula, California died Friday, June 19, 2015. He was born in Lawrence, Kansas on April 9, 1963, the son of C.L. Snodgrass and Lita Mathews. The family moved to Clay Center in August of 1967 where Doug attended schools and graduated with the class of 1981. He attended the University of Kansas and moved to New York City where he worked for the Village Voice and met his wife Catherine. The family moved to Temecula, California in 2007 where he worked as a computer engineer for a medical device manufacturing company in San Diego. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry in 1987 and is survived by his parents and 4 children, Matthew, Jesse, Miles, Olivia, one granddaughter, two sisters, Laddi Oliphant of Manhattan and Libby Cohn of Venice, California and one brother, Luke Mathews of Lawrence. The funeral was held in Temecula on June 27th and a memorial service will be held in Clay Center at a later date.
