Chamber Coffee at Longford Water Company a splash

While a packed room listens, Wava Kramer (center) shares the story of how Longford Water’s inhouse brand Kiowata gained its name during the Clay Center Area Chamber of Commerce monthly Chamber Coffee. Wava and her husband Kim began the Longford Water company in 2005, eventually selling the business to Brad Girton and his wife Catherine in 2016. This month the Longford Water Company hosted the Chamber event at their bottling facility on Wednesday, October 6. A crowd of almost 20 fellow business owners and community members attended the gathering at the plant where they were shown the machinery used to fill customer orders. The Longford facility has the capacity to fill approximately 15,000 bottles a day, though Girton said the facility averages around 10,000 a day.
