The (rock) hunt is on!

If you are out visiting one of Clay Center’s murals in the coming days, you may want to look rather closely at your surroundings. There is a chance you may spot a bit of treasure just lying on the ground in the form of several expertly painted rocks. The rocks were painted by Joyce Colvin of Robin Hood Rocks, who began the project in 2019 to spread a little joy during the pandemic. Now Joyce and her son Tanner secret the rocks throughout Kansas communities and track their travels online. All that Joyce asks of the lucky folks who find a rock is to take a picture and post it on the Robin Hood Rocks Facebook page, along with where it was found. After that, it’s your choice - keep the rock or re-hide it for someone else to find and keep the adventure going! (Courtesy photos)
