The Wakefield Council was intrigued by a proposal by South Central Sealing and Paving to repave city streets in a process called “slurry sealing.”

Phil Brothers, representing the company, described the process as one that uses one machine to mill off and mix those millings with chips and sealant in one pass. The process lays down two layers of chips that is “double sealed” for a roadway that is a minimum of 2 inches up to 4 inches thick.
