The USD-379 backed off on some of the cuts they directed staff to implement at the regular meeting in January, but Wakefield School still felt the brunt of the cuts the board formally approved last night.

Superintendent Mike Folks reported that after meeting with the administrative team, they went forward with eliminating two aides at Wakefield and not filling the reading intervention position vacated by Cheryl Payne at Lincoln Elementary. Staff also have gone forward with re-configuring art instruction to eliminate one full-time position.
