Pastor Roger Walls gave the message last Sunday at Green Methodist Church. Roger is a retired pastor from Enterprise, Kansas, and we have been fortunate to have him in Green several times when Pastor Lillian has been on vacation. The Green Christian School took their students to Topeka on Tuesday, April 26. They visited the Topeka Zoo where a dinosaur exhibit is being held, and to the Great Overland Station.
The family of Elmer & Gladys Richter gathered at grandson Ryan Branfort’s home in Salina

Vance Richter & Neil Richter who have both passed away were represented by family members. 71 attendees enjoyed a potluck dinner. Ryan had the largest family in attendance with 19.
The family of Bill Caley met on Sunday, April 24, at the Eagles in Clay Center to celebrate Bill’s 80th birthday. Bill’s three children, Dory, Jay, and Deanna, with their families, his brother Bob (my husband) and I, and cousin Joyce Troyer, along with friends of the family enjoyed spending the afternoon with Bill and his wife Rita.
The clean up day at Green’s north park was well attended on April 23. Thanks to several men, women, and children with equipment we got quite a few trees cut down and cut up. It was a good start but there is much more to do. The event sign in downtown Green has a new look. We have struggled with letters blowing off in the wind since we put the sign up, and today we fixed that problem with a new backboard and new heavier letters. Thank you to John George and Jerome Wiedmer for helping with that project!
