Calling all young leaders committed to making a difference!

The NCK Leadership Summit will provide you with an interactive experience focused on developing the communication skills necessary to become the effective leaders of tomorrow. Topics such as empathy, active listening, and communication styles are explored to give you a wide variety of tools to use when practicing leadership.

Additionally, participants will engage in the hands-on ICDD Facilitator Training focused on skills to effectively facilitate difficult conversations. You will be able to understand the importance of the principles of civic discourse, identify ways of de-escalating conflict, and be able to create a safe space for others to share their stories and experiences.

The summit is Saturday, October 30, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, in Beloit. All teens currently in 7-12th grades are invited to participate. Cost of $5 includes lunch. Space is limited. Register by October 22 at bit.ly/NCKLeadershipSummit or call the Post Rock Extension District at 785-378-3174.
