Clay Center Elks will distribute USDA TEFAP Commodities to income qualifying families on Thursday, October 14 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Anyone wanting to take part is asked to form a line in front of the building and observe social distancing. Everyone attending who is not fully vaccinated must wear a mask. Those who are sick are asked to please stay home.
Commodities will be distributed on a ‘first come first served’ basis and you will need to bring your own container to haul the food. The Elks expect to have food for roughly 49 families.
Commodities include sliced white potatoes, canned beef, beef stew, grapefruit juice, frozen ground beef, frozen salted butter, all-purpose flour, refried beans, cheddar cheese chunks, and bran flakes cereal.
If you have someone else pickup your food, please send a signed statement with your name, address, how many live in your household, and stating that you meet the income guidelines.
