Sales are now open for the annual Clay Center Christmas Tree Festival which will bring Christmas spirit to the Courthouse Square this holiday season. Anyone interested in participating has until November 1 to get their order in.
Trees are available for $75 with proceeds from this fundraiser going toward supporting the "Christmas for Sharing" charity through the Lighthouse for Christ in Clay Center, as well as programs for the Lincoln Creek 4H and the Clay Center FFA.
Organizers have set a goal of 100 trees this year, so the more trees sold; the more support goes to these vital local programs, not to mention the benefit of having a beautiful downtown throughout the holiday season.
Once trees are delivered, participants will have at least one week to decorate their tree in preparation for the Clay Center Christmas Festival, which kicks off on November 26, 2021, and goes until January 1, 2022.
All trees will be turned on at the same time, along with the 30-foot illuminated display tree on the Courthouse Square, at 6:30 p.m. on November 26.
If interested in showing off your Christmas spirit on the square this year, you can get your form at www.claycenterchristmas.com or in person at Mayo’s, 717 5th Street. Payment and complete forms may be dropped off at Mayo’s or may be mailed to 519 18th Rd. Clay Center, KS 67432.
